Very much a family operation, John Paul Crowe rears their free range pigs and then passes them on to TJ Crowe for processing. They have their own licensed abattoir, butchery and delivery service to ensure prompt delivery to the selective stores around Ireland that they supply, and also to online customers.
Their artisan butchery products include a range of bacon and ham cuts, puddings and sausages, all processed naturally without artificial colours, flavours or additives so they cook beautifully without producing any white gunge - and have wonderful flavour and texture.
Crowe's Farm has an excellent online shop and they also offer other services including butchery classes and courses, which are offered on a regular basis, and an abattoir service for home-reared pigs - this is a great service and includes slaughter and butchering to individual requirements including sausage making and slicing for rashers (see website for details).
And, if you have a big celebration to cater for, their spit roast service could be the answer. They normally roast pigs (organic if required), but other meats and poultry are available too.
At Christmas time this enterprising family supply organic free range bronze turkeys - and hampers too.
