One of the oldest – and most charming – buildings in Killybegs, the smartly painted Fleet Inn stands out from its surroundings and, with chef Tommy Curley at the helm in the kitchen, visitors are sure to be impressed.
As the name implies you’ll find fresh fish a-plenty in this traditional pub and restaurant near the harbour, but chef Tommy Curley (who brought a following from the former House Gastropub in Donegal Town when he joinedthe team here) presents a balanced offering that is sure to please.
Prime Donegal steak is especially popular and there’s plenty for vegetarians too. For casual bites, the bar menu offers tasty small and large plates - and the house cocktails are a speciality.
Friendly service and live music too, making this an all-round fun place to visit.
The restaurant is bright and airy, with a wonderful beamed ceiling, polished floor and comfortable seating, while the bar is a real traditional Irish pub, with flagstoned flooring and a fireplace at one end for those cold evenings - and there are nione comfy rooms available too, at very reasonable prices.
All round a great destination in downtown Killybegs and deservedly popular - reservations are advised
