A former coaching inn on the main street of this centrally located town, this all-year hotel has been in the Kee family since 1892 and the warmly hospitable Vicky Kee is currently General Manager.
Spacious public areas provide plenty of space for guests to relax, and good food is offered in the bar and the pleasantly informal Coach House Bistro where daily-changing menus are based on the best of local produce.
The Looking Glass fine dining restaurant is open for dinner and, on Sunday, a lunch buffet and carvery set up in the ballrooom brings people from miles around; it is an outstanding example of an outing that is hugely popular with Donegal families.
Vicky is constantly making improvements, both big and small - anything which will make guests more comfortable and help them feel at home. All bedrooms are regularly refurbished and have good bathrooms - rooms at the back are quieter and have views of the Blue Stack Mountains. Residents have direct access to a fine leisure centre, with swimming pool, and Eternal Beauty & Wellness Clinic offers serious pampering.
Special breaks offered by the hotel, and giving very good value, include golfing holidays, bank holiday breakaways and a novel "Post Christmas Recovery Break".
