This landmark Dublin hotels on a south-western corner site overlooking St Stephen's Green is the newest of the O'Callaghan Hotels group (Alexander Hotel, Davenport Hotel, Mont Clare Hotel, all in Dublin 2 - see entries).
Although it also incorporates two refurbished Georgian houses, the contemporary addition (a four-storey glass atrium) is its most striking feature.
Public areas include an impressive foyer and, in memory of the writer George Fitzmaurice who used to live here, 'Pie Dish' restaurant and 'Magic Glasses' bar are both named after titles from his work.
It's a great location and the very comfortable air-conditioned bedrooms have exceptionally good facilities, particularly for business travellers, including 3 direct line telephones, voice mail and modem line, desk, mini-bar as standard. All rooms were refurbished in 2011.
The hotel offers a range of meeting rooms and wired and WiFI broadband is available throughout.
