Owen McMahon's north city shop is the only Elite Butchers Association (www.elitebutchers.com) member in Belfast; sells not only meats but, like many Northern Ireland butchers, also fish, poultry and fresh fruit and vegetables.
But the specialities they are best known for are pork butchery, which were once a particular point of pride in Belfast, and indeed throughout Ireland.
This former Northern Ireland Pork Butcher of the Year can boast many award-winning products, notably their sausages: steak & Guinness, steak & cracked pepper, and regular pork sausages are all excellent.
