Margaret and Akim Beskri have run this characterful place just off Grafton Street since 1989 and it's well-known for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, late night opening and lots of chat.

This Dublin restaurants excellent wine list of over 350 bins (predominantly French) includes over 15 bubblies, an exceptional choice of half bottles and a separate list of wines by the glass.

With its traditional bistro atmosphere and classic French cooking, it's a great place to take a break from shopping, or for an evening out, or to hold a party.

Classic menus with the occasional contemporary twist might include: paté de campagne, moules marinières, West coast oysters, rack of Wicklow lamb, warm salad of duck livers, and tarte tatin - all indicate the style.

A private room upstairs (with bar) is suitable for parties and small functions - Christmas parties are a speciality, but it's ideal for any kind of party, family reunions or even small weddings.

The La Cave Wine School offers everything from fun tastings to Wine & Spirit Education Trust  (WSET) Approved certificate courses (Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced.)
