A smart navy and white building on the corner of Parliament Street and Market Square, this popular daytime restaurant was opened by the owner-chef, Ray Foudy, in 2017 - and It now has a staff of 15 plus some part timers and always seems to be full all day, which speaks volumes for the good job that Ray and the team do here.
Inside it is bright and modern, with great wall to ceiling shots of two coffee cups, light wooden floors and luxurious seating. The bakery offers wonderful bread, sandwiches, scones and cakes, including rhubarb scones which are sure to bring you back for more.
The all day menu in the café begins with the tastiest breakfast ever - piping hot creamy porridge comes not only with honey but also a serving of grapes, and an excellent piping hot rendition of the full Irish breakfast, together with a large pot of tea, great brown bread and toast and jam - is sure to lift the spirits.
Delightful service is provided by local ladies including, two Ukrainians, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Among those dining you may well notice some of those hard working builders who know their food - always a good sign.
It's the same story all day, with good honest, freshly cooked food and lovely service delighting all who come here for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a wholesome snack.
A very useful place to know about in this busy town.
