Third generation farmer Ray Dunne's refrigerated cabinet is a familiar sight at farmers' markets, where he sells his grass fed 21-day dry-aged beef, free range chickens and speciality beef sausages.
His 100 acre farm is near Killeigh on the Laois/Offaly border, where free draining limestone soil allows almost all year grass growth and the cattle require only a short period of supplementary locally grown GM-free wheat and barley in winter.
Customers can download an order form on the website and pay by cheque, with free delivery in Offaly, Westmeath, Laois, Kildare and Dublin, and other areas covered by arrangement; can also order and collect from a number of markets, including Crescent Farmers' Market, Limerick (Wed)
