Schull, Co. Cork
Schull (Irish:Scoil Mhuire) is a small village with a quaint harbour on County Cork's southwest coast, in West Cork, the village is situated in a scenic and remote location. It has a harbour, used for boating. The area, on the peninsula leading out to Mizen Head, is popular with tourists. The village has a planetarium. Each year Schull plays host to the Fastnet International Schools Regatta in its harbour. The town is one of the most beautiful in the south County Cork region.
Bathing, boating, yachting, water skiing, sea angling and pony-trekking are among the attractions here.
The road onwards to Mizen Head (18 miles/29 km from Schull) sweeps round lovely Toormore Bay to Goleen, with its secluded sandy beach.
