Liscannor (Irish: Lios Ceannúir) is a coastal village in County Clare. Lying on the west coast of Ireland, on Liscannor Bay, the village is located on the R478 road between Lahinch, to the east, and Doolin, to the north. The Cliffs of Moher are about 5 km (3 miles) west of the village.
In the village are the remains of a castle built by the O' Connors but later wrested from them by the O' Briens. Near by in Castle Street is the house in which John P. Holland (1841-1914), inventor of the submarine was born.
