The traditional fishing port of Ardglass was Ulster’s busiest port on the 15th Century and today is still one of three major fishing ports in Northern Ireland.
The town is a popular destination for sea anglers and other water based activities. A historic place of interest to visit is Jordan’s Castle, a well preserved four storey tower house which was built in the 15th century and withstood a siege in the 1600s.

Local crafts on offer include Celtic clays (0044 28 448 41543) and Heron Farm country furniture (00 44 28 448 41673).
