Locals know how to find this popular daytime café - the entrance is through Westgate Design and downstairs. It’s a big bustling self service café, with plenty of rustic but comfortable seating and a friendly atmosphere.
Food quality is very good and the menu wide-ranging, from home-made soups and a varied selection of salads (20 per day) to hot dishes of the day - lasagne and braised lamb shank with chive champ, or fish pie are all typical. It’s contemporary Irish home cooking, but with international favourites taking their place alongside traditional Irish dishes.
The baking is exceptionally good, with delicious cakes and desserts. Everything is served in generous portions and it’s family friendly. Take-away dishes are available and outside catering is also on offer for parties.
Good food at very reasonable prices is a winning combination for daytime meals.
