Situated in a particularly attractive listed Victorian building - just opposite the City Hall, and within walking distance of the whole city centre area - this boutique hotel has established a special niche for discerning visitors to Belfast.

This Belfast hotels interior is contemporary, and accommodation - in generous high-windowed rooms, theatrically decorated in an uncompromisingly modern style - is simple yet very luxurious; even the most dyed-in-the-wool traditionalist would be won over by the sheer style of these rooms and they have wonderful bathrooms to match.

Jospers Steakhouse

This stylishly informal area, which occupies the whole of the ground floor, has become one of Belfast’s most popular restaurants and meeting places, and is always busy with non-residents, which gives the hotel a great buzz. Prime Irish steaks are the main focus of the menu, but there's also a good choice of fish and seafood.

Various set menus offering a balanced choice are also available, and these include a keenly priced pre-theatre menu. Themed sharing planks are offered in the afternoon - an appealing idea when you're on holiday or don't have to go back to work after lunch.

Combining style and value, the popularity of The Grill Room is easy to understand - and there are cocktails and free evening entertainment too. An appealing package.

Seats 120 (private room, 30, outdoor, 72). Open daily 12-10pm (from 1pm Sun); L specials £6.50, also à la carte. Sharing planks, £25-£30 per couple with wine (Mon-Fri 2-5); pre-theatre 2/3 courses £16/£20 (Mon-Thu 4-6). Set D £23/28/32.
