Quality comes first at the Murphy family’s butchers shop, which was established in 1934 and continues the proud traditions of three generations, including respect for animal husbandry and welfare, careful choice of breed, knowledgeable selection of individual animals, and dry ageing of beef - each of which makes a valuable contribution to the flavour and texture of their acclaimed meats.

An award winning member of the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland, Murphy’s meats are highly appreciated in the locality and they’re keen to make sure that customers enjoy them at their best - notably on their informative website, which includes a practical ‘handy meat guide’ and a recipe video made with Neven Maguire.
