At this lovely waterside location, the Neuville family offers residential fishing holidays; the restaurant is not open to the public in the usual way, but people on boating holidays may come in off the river when there is room - there are pontoons at the bottom of the garden and, weather permitting, terrace dining is an appealing option.
Several fine wooden 'cabins' offer accommodation for up to six and each have a deck overlooking the river, making an attractive destination for a family holiday, whether fishing or not.
The centre is like a little corner of France, with all signage in French, including the menus which are clearly displayed and offer a range of traditional dishes, many of them from Alsace - and great value: a no-choice 4-course dinner at 7pm is only about €20, and a later menu offering several choices is about €30.
A compact French wine selection is also keenly priced, making for a refreshingly reasonable bill. Charmant.
