Eileen Gallagher and Neil Hougardy provide a great service for discerning residents and the many visitors to this popular holiday area, by offering a range of hard to find wines and carefully sourced foods, from Ireland and beyond.
Over a thousand product lines are stocked, and as many as possible are sourced locally, organic and/or fair trade. The many local goodies offered include freshly baked breads and croissants, organic milk, eggs and butter, local Hornhead honey, Filligans preserves and chutneys, fresh local crab and lobster in season, and sea vegetables from Burtonport as well as locally grown salad leaves.
They offer a pre-order service, allowing customers to phone in their orders from regular stock - and to order speciality items such as game and oysters. This little gem is understandably popular with regular visitors - and it's open all year.
