The Station House Hotel

The Slattery family’s unique hotel and wedding venues an old railway junction, which was closed in 1963 and all the various buildings have since been converted to create an hotel of character - and it is set in 12 acres of gardens, creating a lovely atmosphere for a wedding and presenting excellent photo opportunities.



There are several churches in the area - Kilmessan church is very close by (just 5 minutes walk), and blessings can be held at the hotel. The Station House is well known for its weddings, but the hotel never accepts more than one wedding per day and a wedding co-ordinator is available to advise from the time of inquiry right through to the day.



A piper or other welcome can be arranged if required, and special transport available through the Station House includes a silver Mercedes-Benz S-Type which can be hired with driver, and a 52-seater coach which is available for wedding parties; in addition, a Silver Spurs Rolls Royce is available for hire - and this is included in the package offered during off-peak seasons.



The reception is held in the Carriage Suite, a function room just beside the hotel which has plenty of character, and guests can spill out onto a heated patio with seating. The minimum number of guests required and prices charged depend on the day of the week and season: At weekends and high season a minimum booking of 120 guests is required. In high season (May - October) there’s a 30% discount off wedding menus and accommodation on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, rising to 50% discount on those days off season (November - April); a 30% discount is also offered off wedding menus & accommodation on Mondays and Thursdays.
