Glasha

Away from it all, up in the hills in the serenely beautiful Nire Valley, Paddy and Olive O’Gorman’s spacious farmhouse is set in its own gardens and provides a very comfortable and hospitable base for a relaxed rural wedding or honeymoon. This is a place that will appeal to lovers of the outdoor life and a stay here should be the perfect antidote to wedding stress.

The Nire runs beside the farmhouse and fishing permits are available locally, and walking is a major attraction - Glasha links the Comeragh and Knockmealdown sections of the famous Munster Way walking route - and there are walks suitable for all levels of fitness and experience; first time visitors are invariably delighted at how unspoilt the area is, and pony trekking is another good way to enjoy it, and also available nearby. Or you can just put your feet up and relax in the conservatory ...

This wedding venues been a national winner of the Bord Failte Irish Welcome Awards, and it is easy to see why: Olive thinks of everything that will help you  feel at home and bedrooms - which are all en-suite, some with jacuzzi baths - have lots of little extras including spring water and magazines; There's plenty of comfortable lounging room for guests too - and the nearest pub is just 3 minutes’ walk from the house.
