Royal Tara Golf Club

Royal Tara Golf Club nestled at the foot of the Historic Hill of Tara in the Royal County of Meath is among Ireland's most enjoyable and conveniently located Golfing retreats. Reputably one of the finest inland members Golf complexes-renowned for it's welcome to visitors.



In the early 1990s is was decided to construct a new 18 hole course, part of which was on the ground occupied by the old front nine. The new course was designed by renowned Europe Tour Professional Des Smyth and was officially opened for play in 1995.



The main course consists of the Cluide (Blue) (named after the Cluide wood through which the course runs) and the Tara (Red) nines. The Bellinter (Yellow) nine is the back nine of the old course.



With 27 holes in mature parkland the main features of Royal Tara are the avenue of trees that each golfer must negotiate to come in with a decent score. The slick sand based Greens, open all year round, make this a little gem in the heart of the Bellinter valley.



The Clubhouse built in 2000 to the highest standard, with commanding views of the course and surrounding countryside. The facilities and restaurant are guaranteed to satisfy the expectations of members and visitors alike.
