Win a Short Break for Two at Ghan House

 Ghan House

To celebrate the long awaited re-opening of hospitality and recent refurbishments, the lovely Ghan House is joining up with us this month to offer one lucky winner a wonderful short break for two in the charming village of Carlingford, Co Louth.

One of Carlingford’s most interesting houses, the Carroll family’s 18th century property is attractively situated in its own walled grounds on the edge of the medieval village, with views across Carlingford Lough to the Mountains of Mourne.

Accommodation is offered in atmospheric rooms in the main house and newer ones in an adjacent building, all with sea or mountain views. Good food with a sense of place is central to everything at Ghan House, with home grown seasonal produce, local seafood and mountain lamb among the highlights and - health and safety restrictions permitting - residents and other guests in for dinner can mingle and relax in the bar, or beside the fire in the drawing room, which makes for a convivial ambience.

There is plenty to discover in and around the ancient village and activities nearby include hill walking and cycling on the Carlingford greenway - or you can take a scenic ferry trip across the lough to explore the Mournes.

The lucky winner of this free competition will have a short break for two people sharing (subject to availability), to include:
•   2 nights deluxe accommodation for two
•   A memorable dinner on the evening of choice
•   Cooked to order Full Irish Breakfast each morning
