Dunadry Hotel & Country Club

Formerly a mill, this attractive riverside hotel creates a good impression on arrival and succeeds very well in combining the character of the old buildings with the comfort and efficiency of an international hotel. There are churches of several denominations to choose from just a mile away, in Templepatrick, and the hotel is licensed to hold blessings.

An experienced banqueting team is on hand to coach the bride and groom from their first inquiry right through to the day of their wedding and, where in-hotel services are not available, they can make recommendations; for example, items that the bride and groom are responsible for include hiring a limousine or other special transport, a piper or other preferred welcome, decor (candles are provided on tables, but not flowers) and the DJ or band.

This wedding venues made the most of its romantic riverside location, which is ideal for photographs - and, in addition to a splendid ballroom seating up to 300 guests, the Linen Room, beside the river, can be used for smaller wedding parties. Menus range from three to five courses, and can be sit down meals, a buffet or a mixture of table service and buffet.

Accommodation is stylish and spacious and there are no seasonal restrictions, although terms vary considerably depending on the day of the week: venue hire is £395 for weddings on Fridays and Saturdays, for example, but only £275 for weddings held between Monday and Thursday (inclusive); similarly the minimum number of guests required to book a midweek wedding is 70, rising to 100 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Dunadry is well located on the edge of the Glens of Antrim, so wedding guests new to the area might enjoy staying on for a day or two.
