Dublinia is an unforgettable experience in a historically important location at the heart of Dublin City, the crossroads where modern and old Dublin meets. Three exhibitions - Viking Dublin, Medieval Dublin & History Hunters - based on Dublin allow the visitor to interact with the exhibition itself allowing all ages to engage, learn and share.

National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History

Collins Barracks still retains an air of grandeur from its previous use as an army barracks. Completed in 1704, it housed military for over 290 years before being taken over by the National Museum of Ireland in 1997.

It is home to a wide range of objects, which include weaponry, furniture, silver, ceramics and glassware; as well as examples of Folklife and costume.

You'll find Irish haute couture garments, furniture, silver, jewellery, ceramics, and exhibitions exploring Irish military history, including the 1916 Easter Rising.

The Old Jameson Distillery

Re-live the story of John Jameson & Son through the history, the atmosphere and above all the taste. Discover the time honoured secret of how three simple ingredients - water, barley & yeast - are transformed into smooth golden spirit that has always been and continues to be Jameson Irish Whiskey.

After the tour, all visitors are rewarded with a Jameson signature drink and lucky volunteers are selected to participate in a tutored whiskey comparison and earn a much coveted personalised Whiskey Taster Certificate.

Downstairs, in the reception JJ's Bar opens from midday, where mixologists create the finest Jameson Cocktails.

Shindig Nights in the "Sine Metu Suite" at the Old Jameson Distillery from April - October run on Thursday , Friday and Saturday evenings from 7.30 - 11.30 .
