The delightfully homely cookery school adjoining MacNean House & Restaurant offers a range of classes suitable for people of all cookery levels, with small numbers allowing hands-on instruction and assistance from Neven Maguire and his dedicated team.
All courses are conducted by Neven, who has carefully selected a range of his own recipes for people of all levels of experience.
Popular themes are ‘Entertainment Made Easy’ and ‘Cooking for Family and Friends’ where Neven takes the stress out of cooking for large numbers and discusses menu planning, budgeting and food preparation. More specialist topics include ‘Mastering Meat’, ‘Fruits of the Sea’, ‘Just Desserts’ and ‘Home Chef’.
Resident gardener, Kevin Ashley, gives tours of Neven’s vegetable and herb gardens too, and every participant leaves with a special gift pack and certificate of attendance.
