Shandon Hotel & Ocean Spa

This large hotel is in a prominent position overlooking Sheephaven Bay, and (although it’s a bit of a climb up the hill on the way home) it’s within walking distance of the famous beach.

With excellent facilities for families, including a children’s play centre, it’s a popular family holiday destination and - with good food and plenty for older members of the family nearby too, including activities and treatments at the Ocean Spa & Wellness Centre, golf, horseriding and walking, there is something for all age groups.

Bedrooms vary in size according to their position in the building; the suites are especially desirable but all are comfortably furnished and have sea views.

Staff are friendly and helpful and there are open fires and a very relaxed atmosphere, making for the best kind of traditional holiday.
