This well located, family-owned and managed Killarney hotels been developed around an attractive house originally built in 1906 as a family residence, and extensively refurbished before opening as an hotel in 1992. It is a very pleasant place to stay, with convenient on-site parking and within walking distance of the town centre.
Despite a more recent extension (23 bedrooms), period features have been retained and it still has some of the domesticity and warmth of the family home.
The hotel’s very pleasant Conservatory Bar offers a full lunch menu daily and opens onto terraced gardens, allowing for al fresco meals with views of the mountains and lakes in fine weather.
Spacious, comfortable bedrooms are individually furnished to a high standard, with the usual amenities and well-appointed bathrooms (some with separate bath and shower).
A very good breakfast is served and, for evening dining, there are two restaurants, Checkers and The Court Restaurant, both of which are very agreeable.
*The neighbouring Dromhall Hotel is a modern sister establishment and shared leisure facilities, including the Leisure Centre (20-metre swimming pool, sauna & steam room) and The Zen Day Spa, are accessible from both hotels.
