Set in wooded landscape with magnificent views over its own golf course and the Suir estuary, this lovely 18th century house has a splendid Waterford Crystal chandelier to set the tone in the foyer, and public areas are elegant throughout.
Accommodation is shared between really lovely large, graciously proportioned rooms and suites in the old house, and more practical modern hotel rooms in a discreetly positioned new wing, but all are comfortably furnished to a high standard. (Self-catering accommodation is also offered in the grounds.)
Aside from golf, the range of activities available on site includes a swimming pool, and numerous health and beauty treatments. There is a choice of restaurants nearby (Waterford city, or Cheekpoint, both of which are only a few minutes’ drive), and the hotel’s fine dining restaurant, The Roseville Rooms, offers classical cuisine.
The restaurant is shared between two lovely classical, formally appointed dining rooms and it is a very pleasant place to enjoy an evening meal.
